MDVMA is making an effort to be part of the conversation in Annapolis.
To address legislation, influence change, and protect Maryland's veterinarians, we must have a seat at the table.
MDVMA's Legislative Committee is the busiest from January to April during Maryland's 90-day legislative session. This is also when our profession is most susceptible to potential changes in the law that impacts the way veterinarians practice medicine and therefore, we need your assistance.
If every member will choose just one day during the three month session, we could make a huge impact in Annapolis.
Thank you in advance for volunteering on behalf of Maryland's veterinarians.
MDVMA’s Legislative Committee is your exclusive advocate at the state level serving as the voice of the veterinary community in Annapolis. With the guidance and direction of our lobbyist, committee members monitor, support, and oppose legislation that impacts Maryland’s veterinary community and profession.
The AVMA represents the interests of veterinarians through strategically targeted advocacy in Congress, with regulatory agencies, and before the courts. The AVMA works as a trusted partner to complement the advocacy work of MDVMA.
