Continuing Education Committee
The Continuing Education Committee’s mission is to develop quality, affordable and convenient education opportunities for veterinarians and the veterinarian team. Members of the CE Committee select topics and speakers and develop programs that will keep members of the Association abreast of advances in the practice and science of veterinary medicine.
Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee ensures members receive timely news and updates impacting the profession via NewsBytes, our monthly e-newsletter, and tri-annual digital magazine, The Maryland Veterinarian, as well as the website, is where members go to access information and resources. The Public Relations Committee also oversees MDVMA’s social media accounts.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee holds several social activities and events that allow for members to stay connected with their colleagues and peers. Additionally, the Membership Committee develops and implements plans to retain current members and attract new members.
Veterinary College Committee
The Veterinary College Committee acts as a liaison between MDVMA and the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine to support student activities and sponsor events all while promoting the association and building relationships with future veterinarians.
Legislative Committee
The Legislative Committee is your exclusive advocate at the state level serving as the voice of the veterinary community in Annapolis. With the guidance and direction of our lobbyist, MDVMA’s Legislative Committee monitors legislation that impacts Maryland’s veterinary community and profession.
