On August 19, 2022, the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 2026, received a note of support, and a surprise, during the White Coat Ceremony. This year's tradition provided 127 aspiring veterinarians with their newly bestowed white coats, as they rose from their seats and took the veterinary student's oath. With that, the students were officially welcomed into the profession.
Elizabeth Hepner, President of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association, also advised students not to be afraid to ask for help.
